Food exports to Korea: Need to find a good partner

Vietnam: According to the Vietnamese Trade Counsellor in Korea, the food companies want to export to South Korea need awareness of consumer behavior and market regulations. Note that do not use preservatives, food coloring, glutamate (MSG) and food ingredients from genetically modified in exports to this market.

Korea is the a larg market with 48 million population and per capita income of about $20,000 per year.

According to a food research expert, one of some major companies specialized in importing spices, processed foods, said the South Korean market is quite difficult to import food . Therefore, if you want to successfully penetrate this market, businesses need to find a good partner. That's the big distributors, reputation and experience to be able to advise and share problems faced by enterprises when bringing goods into Korea.
