Korea: North Korea's economy is thriving
The economy of the North Korea increased 0.8 percent in 2011, according to data from the Korea Statistics. Meanwhile, Pyongyang has yet to reveal details about the state of the national economy.
Two-way trade reached $ 6.3 billion, four-fold increase compared to the statistics in 1998 ($ 1.4 billion). In particular, the largest trading partner of North Korea, China has accounted for $ 5.6 billion.
Speaking to the news agencies, Korean analysts believe that for the majority of foreign revenue from the sale of raw materials to China, including coal.
